A Page Where I get to Blab!
My Name is Lori Friesen and I live in Salem Oregon. I was introduced to Lampworking in April of 2003 when my mom gave me my first lampwork bracelet.....from that moment on it has been quite a fun journey and learning experience for me. I just love making these little creations, and feel very blessed to be able to share them with you in hopes that they will bring joy and excitement into your lives as you create your own little works of art!
I am thankful that God has brought Lampworking into my life and for the ways in which he provided for all my needs to get started. I wasn't sure how I was going to come up with the money at the time to begin this venture as well as take a class on how to make lampwork beads.
One of those needs was a Kiln that my Dentist just happened to have sitting around not being used. He said "I could just have it to use"! (since then I have been able to purchase a new Aim brand kiln)! I was able to sell a few items on ebay and make enough money to complete a 7 hour class with a very talented Lampwork Artist. Her name is Paulette Insall and lives in the Portland, Oregon area. You can find her beautiful work at www.spiglass-studio.com I give her alot of the credit as well for my start in Lampworking.

**I would love to see some of the things you create with my beads and display them here on my website, so please feel free to email me with pictures of your items! Thank you to each of you for taking the time to browse my site! I hope you will check back often!**
My Garage Studio
My husband built me a work station a few years ago for my birthday which has drawers and cupboards below for my extra supplies! It's wonderful but as you can see from the pics. it is a mess! :-( You can see my nortel minor burner torch and various supplies including some of my glass rods. My "Aim" brand Kiln is on the left (seen in first photo)

and of course the propane tank which I set outside just to the right of my work station with a gate to keep my dog peaches in the back yard!
